The OFT 16 June 2010 has announced the appointment of Clive Maxwell and Robert Laslett as Executive Directors to lead the delivery of work across competition and consumer policy. Clive Maxwell is currently on secondment from the Treasury to the OFT, as Senior Director, Services group. His most recent role at the Treasury was as Director, Financial Stability, including leading on a number of responses to the financial crisis. Prior to this his roles have involved extensive experience of business-facing issues, regulation and European policy. Robert Laslett is currently Director for Private Pensions and Chief Analyst at the Department for Work and Pensions. This includes policy oversight of private pensions and supervision of the public bodies responsible for protecting and regulating occupational pension schemes. Previous roles have included Vice President at economic consultants Charles River Associates, Director of London Economics Ltd and positions at the World Bank, Washington.
